Richmond County Country Club is privileged to be the only private golf course and country club in New York City. Located in the heart of Staten Island, our 18-hole championship golf course features updated amenities and superior facilities for both the most avid golfers and social members of the club. 

A Golf Course Overlooking Staten Island

Designed by Robert White, the first President of the PGA of America, our golf course features dramatic changes in elevation, players are surrounded by a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean and New Jersey highlands. It's a remarkable sight to see.

The outward nine routes players towards the highest point on the course where the ninth green and tenth tee are perched overlooking the entire property. The inward nine can play over thirty-five hundred yards and has provided a true test of golf for nearly 130 years.

Unique and Challenging

Members love the challenge of the course. Strategically placed sand traps, water, and other hazards provide a tough challenge, even for seasoned professionals. Golfing greats from Harry Vardon to Freddie Couples have challenged the course throughout the years, but no golfer has played the course in fewer than 65 strokes. Richmond County is proud to host the annual Staten Island Amateur Tournament, providing the ultimate test for the Island's top players.

The Oldest Medal in American Golf

Richmond County Country Club is home of The Hunter Medal, the oldest continuously awarded medal in the United States. The Hunter Medal has been contested every year since 1895 and is awarded to the lowest qualifier in the Club Championship.
